Just got a replacement DSL modem and am back up and running.
Then I remember I have to go to an airport hotel and get up very early tomorrow.

Just got back from my trip last night and got lots of pictures. Now I just have to figure out the best way to put them up on the web. Next year I am going for two weeks. When I looked the place we stayed at only cost another $230 for the second week. I really had a great time and enjoyed the rum/beer/special cake/mushrooms/smoke.

No, we stayed in Negril. My first trip to Jamaica I stayed in Montego Bay. I didn't like that much and someone recommended Negril. I went twice the first year and then 4 years straight after that. It has been about 10 years since my last trip there. In Negril you have two options of places to stay. The beach or the cliffs. I like the cliffs much better as you don't get harassed as much to buy stuff from the locals. Also on the beach they have police all over the place. On the cliffs you don't see them much at all and they don't go on the hotels property. On the cliffs you can do just about anything without any worries. On the beach they are always on patrol.

Also there are more boobies out getting sun on the cliffs ala natural.

Nice! It must have got a little more strict now then it used to be. I was there about 9 years ago and stayed at a resort called Jaimaca Jaimaca. I don't know if it is still around. It was a non-stop party. The Rastas would come up to you on the beach with a briefcase opened up with jewlery in it as a front, but underneath the panel they would have the real goods. :P Did you do the falls this trip?

They are very strict on the beach. I actually almost got caught and it scared the hell out of me. I was happy to go back to the cliffs where we weren't bothered at all. We could just sit at the bar and smoke as everyone was.

I didn't do the falls this trip. I did on my first trip and it was a blast. Negril is about and hour and a half ride from Montego bay. Ocho Rios is about two and a half hour drive the other way from Montego bay.
