View Full Version : So what do you think of Battlefield: Vietnam?

Please, if you didn't pay for it, go and buy it.

Anyway, I have to admit I'm a bit dissapointed with it. It's fun, but not nearly as much fun as Battlefield 1942:Desert Combat (DC). DC just seems more action packed, while Battlefield: Vietnam (BFV) seems more slowly paced.

It feels like you can't move/turn as fast in BFV, the helicopter controls are horrible, the planes aren't much fun, and the M60/LAW combination is in a word unstoppable.

The servers seem very laggy, and the games just don't seem too coordinated. It just doesn't play right.

What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are exactly the same, it would have been a decent Mod, not a standalone release.

Too slow for my tastes.

Totally agree with the everything in the original post here.

Another gripe I have...absolutely brutally long load times! I believe the reason for this must be the fact that it probably has to load all those songs into memory for each level so you don't lag out when a guy drives by in a jeep while listening to tunes.

I played it the first weekend I picked it up, and I honestly haven't played it again since...
