Why 2?
Because I can assign a task to one and continue to use the computer on the other. I only have a few fully multithreaded applications, but the ability to set up something to render for 6 days and still be able to play Battlefield 1942 is pretty sweet, and much cheaper than getting another computer.
I already have the other components, this is just an upgrade to replace my burned out motherboard...
Video: Radeon 9700 Pro
Memory: 1.25GB PC-2100 Registered ECC
Harddrives: 18.3GB 10K SCSI 160, 80GB 7.2K PATA
Case: Codegen S-201 (http://www.pobox.com/~chaotic42/case.html)
Sound: Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
SCSI: LSI U160 64-bit/66MHz Host Adapter
DVD: 16x Pioneer slot load
CD-RW: TDK 40x12x48
Monitor: 19" Viewsonic P95f CRT
It's not luck, it's the fun part of being an adult. ;)

I'm having a few problems with it.
Windows and Linux both seem corrupted, and I'm having problems reinstalling Windows.

Ok, I got it fixed.
My IDE hard drive didn't like where it was on the cable. :D

Yeah, it's working well. I'm just having problems getting wireless networking to work with Debian. It just can't see my card, even though it's documented to work with Linux.

I've heard people really have to be careful with wireless. Unless they do the proper encripting, people can drive by and access yur net service. What a freaky thing

I've never been a big fan of wireless networking, but you have to do what you have to do.
