I'm a semi-newb...but I'll try to help. :)

You could try downloading a different media player. I use windows player, real one, and quickflash.

Usually if a media player doesn't have the right codecs for playing a movie, it will prompt you to download what you need (from their web site).

What kind of porn...uh... I mean...films are you trying to watch? :)

Hey Sep ! You just need the Divx codec from www.divx.com.
It comes with a player but just choose to only install codec and media player will play those files. And it's free :jammin:

i think the answer isn't a matter of having the wrong program. I ran into a similar problem and in order to get it to play different media types, you must go into the properties and selct which kind of media you want associated with windows media player. However, this probably won't help. Everyone else probably knows better than I, jus saying how I go about it

Actually from what i know, it makes little difference whether you use the Win Media player or Real Media (except for the rm files) as long as you have the right codec(s) the associated media should be playable on anything that can show video.

hi sepra, the problem you are having along with others is that microsoft did not liscence certain media codecs with version 9 and in order to be able to play these codecs, they need to be installed. try installing a divx codec along with intel's indeo codecs.
