Welp.. today marks the beginning of the most awesome lan ever created. The MillionManLan festivities get kicked off tonight with all the Gummis meeting in Louisville for some bar hoping and Golden Tee arcade golf.

Tomorrow the actual even starts with all kinds of tournies and good times to follow.

There will be an ONS tourney tomorrow night, and then the official 1v1 DM tourney this Saturday. Official tournies take place in the dedicated tourney area with custom built identical machines. The crowd will gather to watch the matches as they unfold, and the pro DM'ers will take their shot at winning some of the $1500 in prize money. I suppose I have an outside shot at 7-8 place, but more than likely I'll end up in the 9-12 range :)

What's even better is that MML has internet access, so I'll be able to post updates and photo's live from the event :jammin:

I *really* wish DS could be here, but since you can't, hopefully I'll be able to post some of the happenings in this thread so you can at least FEEL like you are there :cool:

you can post a couple yeah.

the UT tourney was 128 people and I believe about 15 of them could've beaten me. I didn't make it as far as I liked, but with that many people there, I didn't expect much anyways.

let me put it to you this way, Chaotic, {DS}&#39;s best player at lanwar, lost 50 to -4 or something like that to NE|Dawgpound, that was in the third round, I think Smooth went down in the fourth round, it just show you the talent out there. Tallent you probably haven&#39;t seen yet.

yeah.. DawgPound (my clanmate in NE).. I can usually stay within 10 or so.. but he sometimes really pounds me.

I play all the time, and I am no where near the level that some people are.

For example. The guy that won MML3, stryfe.. he just went to Paris for the Electronic Sports World Cup or ESWC. Its an invite only tourney. He was one of three representative from the USA

He didnt make it out of the first round robin..........

so.. yeah.. I am considered "n00b" if you look at the global scale of talent. Some people are just naturals.
