A little of this, a smidgen of the CS: Source beta and Half-Life 2 should be done...when?
In the past day, Valve has revealed both the current status of Half-Life 2 and the planned start of the CS: Source beta. For those who own CS: Condition Zero, beta downloads will begin on August 5th, with the beta itself commencing on August 10th.
As for Half-Life 2, Gabe Newell recently commented, "at our current rate of find/fix bugs, we'll be down to zero bugs in 16 days." Assuming the numbers don't change too drastically, we can expect Half-Life 2 to go gold by the second week of August. From there, if all goes well, the title should meet the September 1st ship date listed by various online retailers.
