thanks solidsnake but not enough people from gm are using it for me to justify me keeping it around. I liked it to see where people were playing but that only works if you have them in your buddy list.

its like an im, but it does have a voice chat option that i havent used, that and the obvious (it tells you what games your friends and friends of friends are playing, and on what server, and should you choose to you can join their game)

Thread resurrection!! :D

Does anyone still want to know about this? I use it, and recommend at least the UT2004 players do as well - makes it easy to see who's playing, communicate in-game, etc.

There's a little tab you can pop out to the right of the main window. You should see a little arrow on the right side of the main buddies window - when you click it, a second window pops open beside the first. In that window, you can see information for what game server and voice server the player is on, and in UT2004, you can also view all the other players that are on that server as well.

its not really setup for ssse, you only c who's on, with a ip adress in the extra box.

just click and c were it brings you, funny thing is that if your buddies are using an alias you still find them :D

I don't know, what do you guys think. Is it worth it for a dial up user to use it or not?

I have no idea... no offense, but why are you still using dial-up? Are you way out in the countryside somewhere?

It will bog your dial up connection while playing other games as it uses bandwidth. I kinda like it and it does track your buddies and you can just click on their name to join what ever server they are on, provided you have the same game.

@ Warhead:

Do you think I'm using dial up because I want to? I live in an area where the basic cable service is 100 bucks for TV + Net. The only DSL company is Verizon which is being a craphead because they won't extend their service area and leaves a heck of a lot of people paying high rates for terrible service. Adelphia sux, so I'll stick with the $10 dial up until something better comes along thank you
