Hi

I tried to install an ati all in wonder VE on my gf's computer. When windows start, i only see a black screen. I installed the drivers while my old card is still in the pc, then i removed it and installed the new card, no success. Then i unstalled it and I installed the new card first and then the driver, no success again.

i know the card is working, i used it in my own pc and it works pretty good.

Specs: ATI All in wonderVE Graphic technology Radeon 7500 64M PCI Bus
Operating systems support: XP, 2000,Me, 98, 98SE

My gf's pc: Genuineintel pentium 2
windows 98SE
224M ram
Use PCI Bus

I only see a black screen when windows is starting after the windows welcome page. no weird noise from the pc, no light flashing.

ok, it looks like you are saying that it works, the computer goes to the windows boot
screen, and after that completes you have a blank screen, right?
does the system come with any type of built in video adapter that may need to be
disabled? other than that, I don't know what the problem may be.
But with a P-II, you are really talking about old and obsolete.
Obviously it costs 0 to keep it as is and put in spare stuff, but even a cheap
board, cpu and memory can be had for < 200 that will run magnitudes faster
and better than what the PII currently does...

Yes, thats right, i see the windows boot screen and after that, blank.
Abt the second question, I dunno but if yes, where do i go to disable it?

She haves a old pc but, according to the card's requirement, its supposed to work. System requirements: Intel Pentium 4/III/II/ Celeron, Amd, K6/Athlon

well, you can look on the back to see if there are any other video connectors.
if not, then that isn't the case. really, i doubt they were available for PII.
But if so, you can try hitting DEL or whatever key the boot screen says
to go into the bios. maybe there are some video settings there that you can
change, (like use IRQ for video, or any similar settings.)
meybe you can make it work from there...
