You might or might not need the Windows installer, he has provided links on his site if you do. Also make sure to scroll down to the "Item Database" and get the extra files and install them.
As you are working on recipes, doublecheck the stats on items. I've found a few mistakes but that's gonna happen considering the numbers of items out there.
