Its true, I don't see nearly as much hurricane action as the folks on the eastern seaboard but I have seen a few and thats all I wanna see its damn scary. But I also agree that the names tend to be on the wussy side thank you nation weather service. All that aside, I hope it curves more north then north west or west for you all......almost november guys hang in there.

Now it is slowing down as far as it's movement speed. It's wind speed also slowed down to 125 making it a Cat 3 which is good news. The bad news is that it slowed down movement wise. It does more damage when it slows down and continues to beat on one area and dump rain. :(

Haven't slept in 3 days so far. 5 hours in total. As Slice said it has slowed down and weakened but that doesn't mean a damn thing. It could very well regain some strength.

I would rather this thing move real fast and cause havoc than it dump hours of rain.

Update.
The Hurricane decided to stop in the Bahamas to gamble and was downgraded to a Cat 2 Storm. 90 to 105 mph winds.

I suspect that the slowdown is cause by it's pockets having some extra cash in them.

Well that sucked. Lost power at about 8pm est last night. Just got it back on.
Not much damage done in my neck of the woods. Some power lines and a few trees toppled over. I am suprised at the drainage here. Not a puddle anywhere near me.

Winds were kicking something nasty lastnight but it really wan't too bad.
At about 1 am I took a peek outside to find blueish green flashes every 4 to 5 seconds which are Transformers blowing up.
