Keep trying to join a server, but just after I receive the CRC the connection goes weird and it won't let me in. Tried reinstalling 1.07 patch but didn't work.

Is it just one paticular server or all of them?

I always have to try to join a second time and then it works ;-)

I had sometimes the message when joining far servers (mainly) or simply when connection wasn't good with standard maps.

You can have this type of message when you're joining a server and if you got a different version of the same map file.

still nothing. I got the image though. some socket error

I have now reinstalled SS and the .07 patch. I still get the error and my net freezes up. Have to hang up and redial.

Looks like you are trying to join an incompatible version of the game.
Like you have 1.07 loaded and are trying to join a 1.05 game.

its the outlaws of gamemecca server 1.07. I always have them listed so I only see .07 servers

WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL : This error occurs when an application attempts to connect to a remote host, and the address is not available from the local system.

=> Check if you got a firewall blocking Sam

hey guys, I still having this problem and I really wanna play sam. I have all the firewalls down and it still won't let me in...HELP!!!

Have you downloaded Windows Service Pack 2? This automically turns on the Windows firewall, so check that and disable it and try to reconnect.

think i figured out the prob, i cleared the mcafee intrusion list and noticed only 1 attempt and it happened when i was joining server. Apparently even though the firewall was down, I still have to manually open the ports for the different servers. Pretty cool eh?
