acrobat pdf speedloader

if you remember the days when pdfs were fast to open,
this will take you back. it inserts stub dlls for all that crap adobe
loads, and if it turns out something is needed, it will link it in.
it makes acrobat load like notepad. highly recommended

jim, i think that's great but before i install, ineed to know

1-have you tried this?
2-does it run with files over a network and opening a pdf on the web?
3-is it fee and or is it fake shareware that asks you to register?
4-these dll's, art they placed in the system32 folder?
5-i know you made this thread but how much do you likethos program and also hom much faster does it make a file open up?

hey, sorry, i am completely wrong about how it works.
it is taking the non-essential stuff from
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\plug_ins
and moving it to
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\optional
has nothing to do about dlls, that was another program,
so this proggie is safe.
it has an undo function to move them back
it has a paypal link on the install, but can be ignored.
if you open pdfs, when the program loads you will see a bunch of loading messages
and then a bunch of initializing messages
and those go away. i am using at home and work and impressed
now to see if i can do the same with photoshop...
you don't do anything with the program after the initial run

no, not photoshop. i am going to see if there is a plug in directory that i can manually move to an optional directory. if that works, that will rox, as PS is so damn slow...
