Of a program that will tell you what / were and how much system resourcesare running on your rig. Kinda like the task manager in win xp.

On my server I opened the task manager and found a 50% cpu usage I was using remote desk top and had zone alarm/Norton my apache web server and a few other programs running. I started shutting down some of the chit load listed except those i mentioned above. now it running @ 3 -5 % biggggg diff

in performance. I want to be able to figure out what is running

if you are running disk defrag software like diskkeeper, it might of be defragging your system while not in use.

There really should be some kind of system profiler like that out there. I normally just open the task manager and sort by CPU load. That pretty much tells the story.

yes, it is just an updated version. if you look at the modules, you will find the right one to your need. this software isnt the greatest in benchmarking but can help also for information very quickly.
