Voice Chat

So I finally got a headset today and was wondering how to do the whole voice chat thing. I can log into the DS server on teamspeak without a problem, but do I have to do that everytime before I start up a game? Is there a different way to get it running in UT? Also, what if I'm not playing UT and just want to voice chat with 1 other person while playing something else...say Sam, do I just use an IM's voice chat software?

Just looking for some noob advice.

Sometimes when I play UT I will hear voice chat from other people and their player's pic will slide in from the left when they talk. How do I set that up?

There is a way too talk to peeps in game. I dont use it. I think you need to bind a talk key and keys to switch between local chanel / team chanel. Goober or Pure may have more info on that.
