Basically it's a really big lan party...This weekend had 511 gamers all in one room playing anything from counterstrike to UT2004.
Cost was $30 for over 28 hours of nonstop gaming.

I think that is because though they are weight and space efficient, they're hard on the wallet and they still haven't quite reached the good old fasioned box monitors (I always call them that, i dunno the tech name, CRT?)

I agree with Caged...while I did see a couple of lcd's, CRT's ruled the lan.
Faster response time and more screen for way less money (most of these lanners are unemployed students) makes the CRT a better deal. Except for the ones who arrived by plane (see Pure) most folks just unloaded their stuff out of the trunk onto a wheeled cart...rolled it onto the elevator, went up one level and out the door into the main room. LaSH and I took a large Home Depot wagon and were able to fit 3 computers and 2 monitors plus accesories onto it.
