View Full Version : Help! i got a trojan i cant get rid of.. (maybe)

Ok my mirc was doing some port scan or something and port 1042 popped up saying its used for BLA Trojan... I scanned my comp and it showed up nothing... can anyone tell me if i even have a trojan, if so then how do i get rid of something my av cant find?!

ps: i use kaspersky personal anti virus

If you have a trojan, it would show up in the process list (do Ctrl+Alt+Delete). Do a web search for BLA Trojan and find out how it shows up on the system (as in a filename). If you have the filename as an active process, it's time to get a different anti-virus.

Even if it's not running, it doesn't necessarily mean you're in the clear. Look at some sites like Mcafee and see what the symptoms of infection are.

first : go to dos and type netstat -ano
look for the port in the list and record the pid
second: ctl-alt-del to bring up task manager/process list
open options and check to include pid
find it on the list and that is the program to nuke

I agree, Google is great - search for "trojan cleaner" and try one....

NVM guys it says this trojan only effects 95 and 98, but i use XP so i dont think its doing anything... but i may be wrong =/

if your firewall picked i up, that means it was blocked. I have computers try to scan ports all the time, but they never get through.
