This is a bad idea because a single state like NY or CA could completely throw off the vote of the whole nation. Any other ideas?

don't forget Texas. I'm sorry, if we all have the right to vote, all our votes should count equally, going state to state in modern era is crap. I can see the point since Goverment aid goes to different state and RI may not get the aid that CA does, since CA may have given the Pres more votes. But that's crap, that's not how it's supposed to work.

I say since I have a vote, it should count as 1 vote, not .00003% of a electorial college vote.

The elctorial colege is another is another way to B.S. the vote. Ask Al Gore

yes, essentially why should some peoples vote carry more weight than others? the electoral college was fine when it took weeks to tally votes and to send representatives to washington with a mandate. now that shi is obsolete. Decide the president in the Nov election like everything else. There is no reason that anyone can justify why the majority of people should not get the person they vote for...
