strange thing

this has been going on for a long time now, but its just been brought to my attention and am curious if others experience this smae thing. In my internet settings, I have it set for no proxy server. Yet every so often, after playing a game or surfing around a bit, it suddenly changes to proxy server and doesn't let me surf until i switch it back. My firewalls are on, so whats causing it?

wierd but I've had it happen after i played railroad tycoon online ... the net was crap so i had to change it
