There are some programs I want to keep. Is there any way I could move them to a certain folder, file, ect. where they would remain safe and ready for use?

I'm not talking my free stuff, I'm talkin ACDsee, Photoshop, Imageready. You know, they high money products that I currently have no disks for.

You need the install file, just moving the folder won't work because when you install the programs they make registry entries. So if you are going to save something save the zip or tar file (cough I am guessing you downloaded them) so that you can reinstall those programs.

i'd rather see a reformat & clean install, but if you are installing on top of the old install, you can leave acdsee as is, but you will need to go to the folder, rerun it, and have it reassociate itself. the photoshop stuff may or may not work, chances are it will not....
