i picked up an mx1000. it is going back. I found the cause of my lag was in the intellimouse drivers, the 4.x ones suck and add bad lag although you can't really notice it, the movement is just not right. for the mx1000, the mouse is great, but the side buttons suck. On the mx600 I can just rock my thumb to click one or the others. On the mx1000 there are now 3 there now, and I find I have to think to click one, or even worse to pick up my thumb to click and that totally screws up the movement. So some youngster could probably get used to it easily, but for myself, this dog doesn't learn new tricks... :( btw, the intellimouse 5.x drivers solved the lag problem, and yes, they do work with logitech mice.

I use the MX1000 and apart from missing a beat now and again I like it :thumbs:
