As some of you know my home Internet connection drops literally 20-30 times day. I have to reset the modem and after maybe 10 resets, it will come back. Well, I finally fixed the problem. What I did was shorten the actual cable that the modem was connected to the wall with. I went from a 20' wire to a 5' wire. I had to rearrange my room a bit but now I have been up consistenly for 1 week. Just wanted to let you guys know in case you are having similar problems.

If you have long cables that are coiled up especially around power cords it will pick up a lot of 60hz noise.

Well who'd a thunk it?.....I have a coiled up cable about 20' long near my power strip.....I think I will find a shorter cable...seeing as how the modem is only 2' away from the wall connection.......
Thanks for the information Sal....I knew I could learn something here.
