I'd like you to let me know if this software finds a virus on your pc:

http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm

Please run your usual virus scan first before trying panda's free scan.

I had just ran my AVG scan, minutes before running the panda scan, the panda scan found a virus/trojan.

I also use AVG but had just recently (this morning) upgraded to the new version 7.0 and installed the most recent (today) virus definitions. I ran the full scan of AVG (found no viruses) and then ran the full scan of pandasoft (again no viruses YAY!). Of course I may not frequent the same web sites that HPC visits *cough*pron*cough* so it's still possible that he could have had a virus that AVG would miss. In all truthfullness though, I too visit some shady (warez, crakz, etc)sites, which is where more of the nasty virii come from.
When was the last time you updated your virus definitions HPC?

Here is a link to AVG7.0

Thanks Goober, thought I had version 7 but only had 6. Downloaded and updated today.

Never found a virus on my pc before using any software. Typically emails get scanned and I've blocked many. I had to allow activex to work through Internet options but then it ran fine. It did find some files that were infected and fixed them.

Hmm, guess this is another program I should run every now and then.

Thanks HPC!!
