Just updated my drivers and bios on my laptop and went from 2632 to a score of 2721. Not too shabby for a laptop

Oh, specs on it are:

P4 3.4GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
SigmaTel C-Majo Audio
1G Ram
XP Pro
60G HD

Any others to share laptop scores? Will have to check out PCMark and see if that increased as well.

Glad to hear the updates worked well. I'm not sure what my '04 score is, but for '03 I scored 16,000 (approximately, using 3DMark03 (build 340) ).

are you sure you got 16000 in 03? that seems to high for even a desktop with the best video card.

Well, I ran the test again, and this time I sat through the entire process. I noticed that the third test actually failed to load, and after it was done, I checked the details of the report score and found out what the problem was. The third test recorded a score of 300+ FPS, which is much higher than I imagine it should have been (it should have been 0 considering it didn't even load!).

Sorry about the confusion. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what my 3dMark score is, so my specifications and this screenshot will have to suffice for now.

Yeap, you were right Bigg. It was a driver issue. For over a year now I didn't update my drivers because I knew that ATI and Dell did not release any for the Mobility 9000, but today I looked for alternate sources. I found a website which has free "Omega Drivers" to install for ATI and nVidia systems, including laptop graphics cards. Well, after installing them and restarting my computer, I was able to run the full 3d Mark '03 test, and I've noticed much faster performance during games (especially Unreal 2004).

My new, "official" 3d Mark score is: 606 (using 3D Mark 2003 and 1024x768 resolution).

I think it's 313 or something like that. My resolution is so high things get funky looking and sometimes get chopped off.

The monitor is 15.4", and IMO is pretty sharp looking.
