What do you do when you get bored with UT2k4?

You try another gametype within UT2k4 ;-)

Lately I've been spending my hours on AS-racemaps

I never realized the assault gametype could be so much fun (even though I suck at it)

the racemaps are especially created for the common UT vehicles (mainly hellbender and scorpion)...the maps themselves are crazy and on these obstacle courses your team has to complete certain objectives

one of the typical series of objectives is to 1) to activate a switch that will make a bridge appear 2) to extend that bridge or prepare the escapeway 3) to escape with a certain type of vehicle along the road

another scenario involves fetching an energy core (looks like a red engine) and bringing it back to base

yep, sometimes there's no other possibility then to spectate and hope someone drops out (by spectating you can already get an idea of what is expected on the map)
