if you notice the popup you should enable your popup blocker on ie by going to tools in the menu bar and going to popup blocker. thsi feature was added with sp2.

what was it you didnt like about it? it fixed alot of the security holes (i know more will come out) and i havent had any issues with it. i have read that it is suggested that you install sp2 before all the other updates (i guess that would mean clean install) to avoid problems. i kind of like the new features to sp2.

i dont know, that whole security center thing was annoying and i read in a couple places that norton 2003 wouldnt work with it. i like norton better so i got rid of it. i had more problems with SP2 installed then i did before.

the pop up blocker was kinda annoying to :P

Which new features do you like? I have heard of nothing that I need.

The security flaws which were fixed are relatively low risk for people behind a firewall (and that use their head with regard to downloads).

It is worthy of noting that the new security issues presented by SP2 number just about as many as the ones they fixed. And the list of programs that "may not operate correctly" is LONG.

I won't install SP2 on any machines that I work on.
