New restrictions for avatars

Hey guys. I had to make a small change regarding avatars because my bandwidth is going up pretty quick. I hit 1G of transfer in 1 day.

Can you please link to your avatars from another site? You can use pics.bbzzdd.com. It's a free host for pics. Just upload your pic there and link to it in your profile.

I know its inconvenient but it was taking up a ton of bandwidth. Anyone that uploaded their avatar here will have to do this. Thanks for understanding.

I don't really understand how having an animated avatar off site takes up less bandwidth than a still avatar saved on this server?

Because this server will only request the link, which will use the bandwidth from the server where the picture resides. The image does not have to get constantly loaded from this server to our screeens.
