Release date is March 24th and the price will be $250 for the value pack which includes 32 MB Memory Stick Duo(TM), headphones with remote control, battery pack, AC adaptor, soft case and cleaning cloth, movie/music/game video sampler UMD disc including multiple non-interactive game demos, and for the first one million PSP Value Packs shipped, a special UMD video release of the feature film Spider-Man(TM) 2 from Sony Pictures Entertainment.

can someone explain to me what this is? is it linke the small nintendo thing? i think that price seems a bit high for a console that you will have to pay 40-50 dollars for each game to play on it. just a few games and you spent 500 bucks:eek: . is it worth that from what you people see?

The easiest way to describe it is its a portable PS2. Besides playing games, it has a memory stick slot, media player, wifi for internet access, mp3 player, movie player, and a nice 16:9 screen. Games will retail for $39.99 and less.

hmmm, will it pull media from a media server>????? i am in the middle of designing a media center server for the house where every television will stream all media such as pics, mpeg2-dvd, music etc etc. if it does, i will have to pick up one of these units for the living room.

Games will retail for $39.99 and less.
it's unlikely they'll be less any time soon, publishers will want to ensure the PSP is profitable before they lower the cost. the psp is a risky gamble, but will no doubt pay off in the long run

I'm not sure if it can pull from a media server. I know they have some big plans for it and there is already a hacking community out there. If I find some info I'll post it.

The motion picture which was taken in the video and the personal computer and which was collected, and television program are preserved in "memorystick Duo", and it can regenerate with PSPR.

It can always enjoy motion picture easily on the clear liquid crystal screen of PSPR everywhere. [But, special software is necessary]
