If anyone likes to play CTF and is looking for a more skilled crowd to run with than what the average pub server has to offer, consider joining #2k4ctf on the GameSurge IRC network. Pick-Up Games (PUGs) go down fairly often there (usually at least a few times per night), and the skill level is fairly advanced.
Basic commands to know once in the channel are:
.join -- Adds your name to the list of players "pugged up" (wanting to participate in the next PUG)
.list -- Lists the users currently "pugged up"
.quit -- Drops your name off the list of players "pugged up"
Once ten players are "pugged up", team selection will begin. Two captains will be chosen, then a game server and TS2 server will be assigned. Then, off you go!
I just played my first ones tonight - wasn't quite as brutal as I was expecting, given the competition. :)
