go to device manager and uninstall the old drivers...reboot... when it finds the new hardware tell it to use the new drivers... I think you should be ok then

make sure you disable anti virus software when installing any drivers. also just boot up in safe mode and goto control panel and uninstall the nvidia drivers. do not touch sam as it is not the problem.

Guru 3D (http://www.guru3d.com/files/detonator/)

At Guru3D, and elsewhere, they have the Detonator Destroyer, which can ease getting rid of one driverset for installing another. Follow the instructions, you be cool.

I never could get it to work in XP. Now I just install the newest version without removing the old ones and never had any problems. I'm lazy :D I just check in the tools to make sure the correct version is running.

I have heard it works for some people , not sure about 2000.

Hmmmm....my detonator destroyer works fine in winXP......on one of the upgrades it wouldn't work at all unless I used DT.....I think it deletes 2 files that uninstall won't.

I've used it successfully, but I always switch to Standard VGA and reboot before doing so, and after I've uninstalled it through add/remove, first. Maybe it's just the Add/remove doing the trick, but the Destroyer seems to find things to take out, and I've had a couple items of the previous set in with the newer ones without doing it, so I do it. As they state, it is not supporting XP as yet, so it's a personal choice.
