Wow Frag, that looks incredible, great work. I especially like the sound effect, I think that is a really nice touch.

(By the way, A-Wal, try holding down the Control key and moving your mousewheel up and down to adjust the size of text.)

That looks really really nice.

As far as the resolution goes.. most good web designers try to make their webpage easily viewable by people who use a variety of resolutions.

However.. 1900x1200??? hahaha I think there is a reason why EVERY webpage you complain about :P designing a webpage for anything more than 1280x1024 seems a bit much to me hehe

there's a registration block, if you belong to more than 15 clans, you can't register :D

Yes, I do know about text resizing, but it fails to resize graphics. Many of the newer sites are building their menu out of graphic pictures, which makes it very anoying to use. IMHO

I sympathize, A-Wal, but web developers really do have to cater to the masses who insist on using ridiculously low resolutions (anything below 1280x1024), otherwise people won't go to their sites. This becomes particularly annoying with graphics-heavy sites, such as those that use graphics for menus, etc. I tried making my site like that, and it really is a pain in the ass - the only way to really make it work is to make a fixed width site, which is going to look like ass on a resolution as big as yours (ooh, A-Wal... it's SO BIG!!!). So I went back to the less flashy but more functional design I use now. Developers can put a little switch on their pages to display the site in different resolutions, such as the option in the TWL preferences to choose between an 800px width site and a 1024px width site, but that's extra work, and I've honestly only seen TWL implement that.

Couldn't find any outstanding grammar errors in the website itself (not in the forums), but if I find one will let you know.

Only thing that would be of any concern are 2 things, first the "miniforums" or the community forums, they don't seem to work and I don't know how, from where you derive them, not sure if a link would do if derived form another site....

Also another thing I want to bring up would be the width of the actual DS forums, they seem too narrow even when my window is maxxed out.

Other than that, it's looking good!

Hmmm now that I think of it, only other critique I would have is that bottom recruitment section, all the other parts of that homepage have a compact slick-like feel to it, and that bottom section is like text in larger open space.

Perhaps as a suggestion, maybe have an "Applicants" or "Potential Recruits" or "Join Us" link at the top with your other categories, that provide the same link. My opinion obviously, but I just think it looks more slick and fits in with the "compactness" of the site as a whole.

Lexi, the thing is, our clan is fun, anything we can do to make it better, or more fun is worth it. Very nice! It looks very professional. You wouldn't per-chance be a web programmer by trade? The only gripe I have, like I have with every website, is that at a resolution of 1900-1200 all the text is tiny. It transends all webpages, but I've trained my eyes to read tiny letters so it's not too much to worry about. It does get tricky with the wrong color scheme, and the letters blend into the background. I would run my desktop at a higher resolution, but then I can't read anything unless I put my face to the screen. :loser:
You buy the site and then you can modify it.

It's a good way to do it then to create one when most of us don't have the time.

it's a good way to get one up quickly and you can get one with a forum hooked up and easy to modifiy just the way you want it.
