I've put off building a new pc for a bit but still like to check out what available/coming out soon. I may wait for the 64bit next version of Windows before my next build.

The article about beaming stuff directly into the brain was interesting. Looks like it has been all theoretical to this point though.

I've been running MSN 7 Beta for a few months now, and I've been very impressed with it. I like it a lot (the "nudge" button rocks...you hit it and it causes their screen to shake violently...great for making people angry!)

The video is good...I would love to use the audio (since my fiancee lives in Ohio...500 miles away), but you have to have a router w/ UPnP...sadly, I don't...DARN IT!

Anyways, I personally think that it's solid!

I give it the Official Cockroach Seal of Approval!

TIP, your wait will be over soon. the final release of xp64 is out alread but will not be on the market for another week or so. lots of improvements have been made such as faster networking and higher security. you also (i heard) will be able to trade your xp32 for xp64 if rumors are true. what you definetly want to wait for as for the amd chips if that's what you want (i suggest it) is when they release to latest stepping of their chips built on .09 micron and sse3 instructions. they have .09 chips out now (winchester) but you want to make sure it has the ss3 support along with the faster and tweaked core which will allow over 2 gigs of ram with out slowing performance down. these chips also are running extremely cool so much that people are overclocking the hell out of them. let me know when you go for it because i like to know who is running it and also how they feel about it.

Thanks Bigg!!

Actually I decided to put off the pc build and head off to vacation in Florida the end of this month. My pc has been working flawlessly now for so long and it's been getting the job done on the stuff I need. I really haven't liked any of the new games out so I haven't felt the rush to upgrade. Still using and Athlon 2100+ and Geforce2 pro card since my Ti4600 died. Not sure if I will upgrade the video card cheap or just wait for my next system. My money situation has been pretty lean lately so that has helped me make decisions. LOL

Still enjoy the reads and when the time is right for me I should be able to make the best decision for me. Thanks for posting them.
