Search for the items you want may be cheaper.
THen go with the A7N8X deluxe board.

I think it looks like a great setup, it should rock. Er, sorry, ROXORS!! :jammin: I think Who Cares has a good alternative for RAM, and Samsung is good stuff, but I'll put in the alternative backing for Crucial, I think they are a great company, and easy to deal with. If it's theirs, and it doesn't work, they will take care of it directly, no reseller to go through, which will often tell you you have a factory warranty anyway, and send you back to the maker again. That said, New Egg is one of the highest rated resellers on the net, so I think you won't go wrong there, either. As said, pricewatch is a great place to size up the current market (I go there regularly), and get leads, but after dealing with good and bad companies, I want to deal with good ones, so don't be afraid to pass on the cheapest price if you don't trust the company. Read their return policies...do they have a restocking fee? Here is a place to look at what others have to say about different resellers, and a ratings based system to go with them.
As for the PS, I have a PP303X from Antec as well, and it runs my 1800+ rig, but I think it is a bare minimum, and if you can get a quality PS with more juice, it would be good.

Without a dought I would spend the couple of extra bucks for the deluxe mb.
You getmore bang for your buck.
LINK (http://www.asus.com/products/mb/socketa/a7n8x-d/overview.htm) I have this board.
Check my sys stats link.

I would also say get a case that has side and a top fan location.

I told you he cares!! :P Yeah, if you are going to get a nice rig like that, cool it off properly, and a top hole is probably the best at clearing the (rising) heat. The SLK800 is an excellent choice. With the extra fans and all, throw in an extra drive or two, and you will be happy you have a PS that can handle it all without straining.

Also since you are gonna buty a seperate HSF perhaps you should
consider the OEM processor.
The only difference is the warranty.
Probally save you 50 or 60 bucks.
With the new video cards coming out a 450 watt or higher PS is recomended.
I have a 340watt with an ATI 900pro
When I upgrade my card and memory I will get a new PS.
You are not allowed to upgrade until I do. :P

Thanks guys
I looked at the deluxe board but I don't really need the $30 worth of extras - firewire , serial ata , soundstorm dolby 5.1 , I have an old set of 2.1 altec lansings. Wife won't let me play it loud anyway :D. I may if I come up with more money are prices drop a little. I think I'm going to just order a psu or maybe a new case :bandhead: It's a disease I tell you...turn the page and ooooh shiney...must have...
Wife gets touchy too :bandhead:
