As we expected this was going to be a brutal Grand Prix. My overall strategy of practicing for qualifying paid off with merits as I took the pole for the race. I knew that if I was going to have a chance at this course I would need to be ahead of the pack at the start. A smart move since at turn one almost all cars piled up and crashed, even leaving one of them upside down. :D Homer F1 was kind enough to give me a push at the last second to get me far away from the mix.
As far as the race goes, F1 Nut was definetely out for a checkered flag. He was very aggressive and very stable with his driving throughout the race. I maintained the lead for about 10 laps or so with F1 Nut always about 1-4 seconds off my rear fin. Then at about lap 11 I made a mistake. I touched the "invisible wall" and fell through. In this game Monaco has a ton of bugs and glitches, this being one of them. Once I fell through the invisible wall, my car was shot up into space spinning rapidly. :bawling: :D Needless to say by the time I got back down to Earth, I lost 15 seconds in the race. F1 Nut was now way gone and over 10 seconds ahead of me. STUPID GLITCH!
Well at that point I knew I had my work cut out for me. I started to push my car as much as I could. I pulled off the fastest laps of the race in this time and finally got back up to F1 Nut for the last 10+ laps of the race. From then out I learned how IMPOSSIBLE it is to pass on Monaco. No matter what I did, I could not find a line to pass. The rest is history, F1 Nut maintained the lead and took the Monaco Grand Prix! I finished second about 5 seconds behind.
Overall the car performed very well for me, the biggest difficulty was dealing with the fast tyre wear which leaves you racing on ice.
Congratulations F1 Nut on your first checkered flag AND taking Monaco!
As far as pit stop strategy:
- 3 stopper (Necessary since the tyres melt in like 5 laps)

Sounds like a great race. Well done F1 Nut
WTF is this glitch all about and why didn't anyone else go through it?

I was having a good race...until lap 2. I lost my front wing but thanks to using the nose camera angle and a halfway retard pit crew, I had no idea until 10 laps later. This was an extremely frustrating race for me as nothing felt right and I was just getting more pissed with every lap. I stuck it out though to get that 1 point and hopefully the next race will be much more fun. I'll be spending this week taking a look at my setup since it just seems like I am so much slower than everyone else. Good race F1nut and looking forward to next week.

The glitch is actually in two spots on the track. Basically, if you drive a certain way into the glitched barrier, you go right through it and fall into limbo. The one I fell through shoots you up 100 ft. in the air and your car then spins down like a feather. The other glitched wall you can drive through is at the end and you fall nose first into the water. It seems the EA Sports did a horrible job testing and programming the Monaco Track.
The reason nobody else fell through is because they were careful at that turn, where as I cut it way too close and fell through the hole. I was an idiot, I knew the hole was there but I made the mistake and tapped the wall. The problem is you cannot see the hole since it is invisible to the eye.
My penalty was 15 seconds of spinning out of control 100 ft. above the race track. LOL! :D :bawling:

Wow that's weird. So the other tracks don't have that problem...good.

Nah none of the other tracks have that issue.. at least so I notice.. there are fewer walls to run into on the other tracks! :D
It also may be an issue with the mod we are using. RH 2004 has a few glitches in it. The mod may be causing the game to go batty.

Aaahhh :jammin: finally after these second place finishes I managed to bring the car home in first place. The weekend started ok my tires head the right temp 112 or so and I was doing good times in practice 1.19….constantly with race fuel/setup. When I logged on for the race on Sunday the track temp went up and my tires were hitting up fast 125-130 :bawling: I took some pressure out but I knew they won’t last long so I opted for a 3 pit strategy knowing the tires will blister fast especially the back tires. I was hopping for a good cual lap but I looked in the first corner going in too deep and I knew I a have to make up some time I pushed extra hard witch made me make more mistakes. No matter I would not have done better then DarkPSI 1.17.3.. P2 will have to do maybe my lower fuel and a great start will see me in first place after the first corner that’s where I have to be to make that 3 pit strategy work. The start is coming up next and is a good one :woohoo:

P2 not bad but not exactly what I had in mind for my 3 pit to work I had to be in front puling away about 1 s a lap faster. When the lights went out I had a great start off the line but when I shift in second gear I push the traction control off button to soon and my car started swirling around and I had to lift off the gas to avoid spinning that saw Homer and Duce in front of me I tried to recover and I wanted to be right under Homer rear wing in the first curve but he slowed down too much and I hit him in the back slightly putting him in the wall ( sorry HOMER F1 it was a racing incident I did not expect u to stop in the middle of the curve and I was going too fast to stop believe me I tried). After all that I was 3rd with DarkPSI and Duce in front of me 2.5 and 1.5 S respectively. I catch up with Duce at the casino curve and I now had to pas him DarkPSI was increasing his lead. Duce made it ease for me by spinning 2 curbs latter and catching Dark was not too hard cu catch but passing proved to be impossible even though I was 1-1.5 s faster. I decided to wait for my pit. Around lap 7 DarkPSi finally made the mistake I wanted and all of a sudden I was 1st 10 s in front and finally puling away By my schedule pit I was 14 s ahead my strategy seam to work .my second set of tires were horrible and I spun in unexpected places surrendering the gap to about 5s From there on it was a good fight pit after pit I made a mistake Dark made a mistake and I knew aldhough he was filing my mirrors passing would be impossible unless I make a mistake Good fight Dark looking forward to EURO.
