You are supposed to see lots of code when you view an RSS feed with a web browser. RSS feeds are used in RSS readers and web portals. Here are some examples you would use our RSS feed:

Example #1: You run Firefox. Go and download the RSS plugin Sage (http://sage.mozdev.org/). Now you can add the GM RSS link into Sage and you can see the latest threads while viewing other sites.

Example #2: You use MSN as your homepage. Click on the "Add Content" button, and in the "Search for Content:" textbox type in the RSS feed URL. You will now have a module on your my.msn.com homepage labeled GameMecca Forums and it will list our latest threads. So you can see what is happening at GM right from your MSN.

Any questions?

I've been wondering for a while now what all these "RSS" links areon sites, when they just link to XML files, so now I know  w00t

Second, I've downloaded RSSReader - www.rssreader.com - and so far I think it's pretty kewl...whenever a new thread gets on GM, it'll pop up and tell me, and I can click to view the first thread in the app, and I also get a link straight to the thread...very kewl!

Thanks for the new feature, SAL - you da bomb!

Do you get an error? You can google "firefox rss reader" and you should be able to find other ones.
