I had an old DVD drive sitting in the corner for a long time. I could never seeme tyo get it to play right on the old PC and didn't know why. Come to find out, it was a combination of poor video card and I didn't have a good decoder/player.

One problem was solved by my Radeon 9600. The problem I still had was that i didn't have a good player program.
I finally have everything working nwo that I found this "VLC Media Player".
It is 100% freeware and bug free. Its available for download off
www.filecloud.com
although I'm sure with a little googling, one could find it elsewhere. Now please excuse me while I go watch The Matrix Reloaded again

There are free DVD decoder codecs out there. Just do a google search. Windows Media Player 10 will play DVDs fairly well (not that recommend it, being from M$, but it does work).
