I don't really have time for any more games between my 109 hours of WoW and 1 hour of UT2004 every week, but if it's a good game, I may consider adjusting my schedule somewhat.

I just got it. Played only an hour so far but it kicks uBer arse. Compared to unranked servers, there is VERY few ranked servers. BTW, ANti-Tank.

P.S.: I'll gladly take that Zboard if you don't want it :P

so far i have 5 gold stars, an award for being a distinguished combat medic, a distinguished combat ribbon, and an award for being a good armor combatant or somethin like that

thats all of em...AND im still only a private...you would think the 5 gold stars would change that for me...but nonetheless

It is good. The clans that play BF are pissed at the ranked server crap from EA. We run an unlocked server meaning that you have all access to all weapons regardless of rank. The game will fizzle down because huge I mean huge clans are pissed about the ranking system that EA has implemented. It is still worth the buy, because in a month the mods will take over the game and EA can kiss their precious retarded ranking system goodbye.

I would guess that they are trying to take a piece of the MMORPG market by including some kind of feature where your abilities grow over time.

I know GOD clan had a server for BF2 but that was only for the demo and judging by Slice's comment towards the ranking system I don't think his server is ranked.

I actually don't mind the ranking system. For the most part I ignore it, but every once in a while it kinda gives you the feel that you've accomplished something extra. It sounds petty but I like seeing little badges of honour pop up :) It would be nice, though, on unranked servers if you could have all the weapons unlocked to play around with them all.

By the way, is everyone using the in-game browser to find BF2 games? Its such a piece of crap search engine...its driving me nuts. Does All Seeing Eye or any of the others work with BF2 yet?

I agree with you, the search engine is crap. I don't know of any program that works with BF2. There needs to be a friends list and a fav server list. Oh yeah, the GameCenter servers pwn and are usually lag free.

battlefield 2 >python > bf2 > stats > open the file "unlocks" with a text editor (notepad), change the line that says:
defaultUnlocks = [0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0]
to
defaultUnlocks = [1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1]

now all the special weapons are unlocked :thumbs:

i cant play BF online, i would need at least cable. guildwars works fine with dialup though. hopfully soon ill have a better connection. id really like to try BF against other players.

Ooohhhhh ok. Its really fun online except when you accidently kill other players (ART, nade, etc) and they punish you. %90 of people punish me when it was an accident. *sigh*
