Swimming in Louisiana rivers and lakes could be hazardous to your health. The catfish grow big here too, but don't have what you would call teeth, but this sucker does!

I've neven eaten it but they say that Gar is some nasty fish to eat, but I just got back from Wal-Mart and what did I see them selling? Gar steaks @ $3.99 a pound :eek:

i also dont like sea creatures. i think it started when i was 5, playing mario for nes.... that water world music still sends chills down my spine.

The main thing for me is that there are creatures in both lakes and the ocean that take bigger dumps than me.

Bet the bad boy would have taken a couple hours to reel in, Sho and others for La. probably agree, but i know those Gar are the most fightin' frickin fish in fresh water. But yes they do taste NASTY!!

LOL that reminds me, the first fish I ever caught was a Gar on Lake Larto. I was about 8 at the time and the sucker got on the line and took off. If my uncle hadn't grabbed me by the ankles, I would've been in the water with the damned fish. :D
