Looks like we will have expanded playoffs, a bunch of rule changes, and about 300+ free agents that have to sign in about a month's time. That should be fun to watch. :)

- liberalized free agency: age eligibility for unrestricted free agency at age 31 in 2005, 29 in 2006, 28 in 2007. In 2008, it's 27 or seven years of NHL tenure.
they haven't learned :down: one of the things that made sports great for fans was rooting for "teams" not logos. Now it will be even harder to keep a core group of players together for long periods of time.
