Bush nominated judge John Roberts as the new Supreme Court Justice.

Thoughts, anyone?

I haven't looked into him, yet, I just thought it'd be kewl to beat Mad Fox to an important political thread!

I did the checking myself, and he is a conservative. Bush had his chance to nominate an independent thinker with good justice credentials. He got the justice credentials part, Roberts is someone with just that, but with a conservative bias. Bush had the opportunity, and he screwed it up!

Pathetic choice. Two measly years experience as a judge, loads of trial experience as an attorney. I am sorry, but that's not nearly enough experience to be nominated for our country's highest court, not even close. Yes very conservative, but they are kinda trying to keep that on the down low... You know, the less the public knows about his political opinions, the better his "electability" as they call it... I really hope the Senate thoroughly investigates and questions him...
