Yeah I know, taking LONG time. Problem is while I went out to some stores and ride my bike someone turned off the comp :/ Time to start over.

Now I am pissed. The internet connection went out twice in 5 min due to my annoying cousin and sister, even though I told them not to touch the cable box tons of time. I have to restart the D/l again. I have left on the comp for 5+ hours trying to get it d/led and now I'm really pissed. I'm just gonna wait for a couple days till the servers stop getting jammed.

Wow it pwns very much. Creepy as well. I wish the MP was as fun though. The thing that sucks though is there is apprently now a Director's Edition for $5 more. I wonder if I could transfer my preorder from the orignal FEAR to director's cut. I just want it for the comic book and the Machinma Episode, which sounds interesting.

You pre-ordered, right? So you probably just paid $10 of it...they should let you. I know when I pre-ordered Guild Wars, I asked and they said I could either pay 40 to own GW, or 70 to own GW: Collector's Edition, so I'm sure you can.

BTW - is this game running like CRAP for anyone else? I'm running on everything either on "off" or "minimum" with a resolution of 640x480 and I'm getting tons of jitter. I realize the 256mb geforce 5600 is not the best, and that I need an upgrade, but I can run doom 3 and hl2 WAY better than I can run this game.

Same issues here Bob. It runs terrible on my machine.. and I have a damn good setup.

Radeon 9800 XT is my vid card, which should be more than sufficient for this game. Doom and HL ran perfect on that card with all options on full.

Perhaps since this is just a demo they did not optimize it yet? :confused: That would be a terrible marketing blunder though IMHO.

Usually a demo is for potential buyers to check it they will get it or not so i dont think the full will run much better. Also, we are only ~ 2 months away from release so i guess they are done with everything ... :(
Compared to the MP beta it seems already optimized .. the beta was everything but smooth for me even though i got a good config ^^

I have only have one jitter in the demo and I played through it twice. I only have a 9800 SE modded to a Pro as well. Anywho, bob I paid the full $50, I always do that. I guess I'll pay em an extra $5 to get the DE.

Game was sweet reminds me of my all time favorite system shock without the RPG element....very spooky..going to have to play this one with the lights on....:)

I recently picked up a pair of Tritton 5.1 headphones for playing BF2 and decided to give them a whirl with this demo...wow. It had the hair on the back of my neck standing a few times!
