I just saw this on MTV's "Pimp my ride".

Copy and pasted from Crutchfield's site:

Billed as the subwoofer that "other woofers have nightmares about," the MTX JackHammer is a 2-foot tall, 320-pound behemoth that makes you proud to be an American. This 22" subwoofer handles 5,000 watts RMS (up to 10,000 watts peak), and features a 900-ounce (that's a little over 56 pounds, folks) magnet and a 6.5" voice coil. The JackHammer is set up for high SPL (Sound Pressure Level), but you can purchase an replacement cone assembly that allows you to switch quickly to Sound Quality performance (and you don't have to remove the speaker from its enclosure to make the switch). There was a constant crowd around this woofer throughout the show, jaws open, staring in awe as the woofer cone moved in and out. Sometimes excess is a good thing!

Those things drive me nuts. I am thankful none of my neighbors' kids have them. :)

Oh...now my subwoofer feels inadequate (who ever thought 15" wouldn't be big enough :P )

So, have the neighborhood kids officially started referring to you as "Old Man Camper" yet?

:D

thats pretty sweet. im not saying mine is better but its somewhat comparable. i got a 18" MA audio sub, 1600w max, 1000w rms. double stacked 250 oz magnets, dual 4" aluminum voice coils. not sure how much the whole thing ways but i re-injured my back just now lifting it and i dont think my computer chair will ever be the same :P
it will be powered by a clif designs 1800w max, 1500 stable at 1 ohm class x amplifier. the only thing thats stopping me from hooking it up is i cant find anyone that makes an 18" sub box at a resonable price ... it calls for 5 cubic feet, i think im gonna have to loose my back seat :hmmm:

I have 2 15 inch MTX woofers in my F250. Drives my kid and his friends nuts when I play Toby Keith or Pat Green loud, they say it's a waste of equipment. :)

I'd say the same thing :tounge:

I had a couple 15's back in the day, but well they got old and I blew em up. I want to get a couple Eclispe Titianiums, not sure 12's or 15's. They have an excursion of like 3". Still got my amps though. Have a RF BD1000. Best small size, big output amp I have ever seen. Even seen it run like 12 or 16 15" subs off one amp and it would hit 160-170dB depending on the day and such. :D

Wow, way to lose all low frequency hearing. I wonder what it feels like to sit on the thing...
