I want to get this tattooed on my left arm near my shoulder. (basically on my outer left muscle) It will be smaller then the picture, probably like 3" wide 4" high how much should I expect to pay? I want it filled too but not with any background or anything.

that looks pretty cool. from what i've experienced, lighter colors will hurt more because they have to go deeper, and getting all that belt filled in... :drink:
heres my crest, it says "consider the end"

That is wrong. They go the same depth. It makes no difference between colors what so ever.

hurt? What is this hurt you speak of? Tattoos don't hurt. Actually, when I got my last leg piece (covers all of my calf, front and back) the tattoo artist told me that women do much better than guys, higher pain tolerance. There was another guy, big bear-like motorcycle dude, there getting his shins worked on and he was in some pretty obvious pain. He shook my hand and complimented me on my bravery on the way out. Hey, at least we gals get some perks.

My appointment is on Thursday. I dropped off the artwork today. I am getting it done at a shop called Third Rail in town here. I talked to a few people who went there and said that they do awesome work. When in the shop it looked real clean and the artist seemed real cool. He quoted me a price of $170 which I thought was pretty decent. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain so I am not to worried. (well I am a little) :P He is going to spread the antlers and put the text at the top of the badge which will look way better. I will bring my digital camera and have them take a pic when done.

Awesome. Please remember that the price you pay the chances are only 50% of that goes to the artist.

Well I got it. Man the outline hurt a little in the begining but after a while it kind of feels good believe it or not. Pleasure from pain I guess. Super nice guys at the shop. I will post a pic later when I get a chance. Vinny is the artist who did my tat. Check out their website http://www.thirdrailtattoo.com/index.html These guys are great, click on the links section then Vinny's profile.

I bet you any amount of coin that you will be back to get another. Feels like a hot bee sting don't it.
For me depending on where I get Tattooed I usually wind up eating a few pain pills.

Funny you just said that, because I just called Vinny and was like man I just took the bandage off and cleaned it up and it looks tight, I want another one now. It really isn't that bad for all of you who ever thought about getting a tattoo.

If I may suggest drive to Miami and find a guy named Chris Garver. Trust me it will be worth the drive.
Go to tlc.com and click on Miami Ink. The guy is amazing. IMO he is one of the best in the country.
