I have lived in South Florida for roughly 20 years. I have never seen anything like this.
I would like to personally thank every single one of you that owns an SUV when you don't need one.

Nope..I've got no problems with New England winters either....That's some crazy weather down South... :(

I have a grudging appreciation for my isolation on a mountain in Massachusetts
(we only get a hurrican every 100 years or so :thumbs: )

All is good where I am at. poor Slice got a pounding all day and night from what I can see.

That's good that you are ok and hopefully Slice is too. Rita is supposed to intensify to a Cat. 4 once it reaches the Gulf of Mexico's warm waters and then turn north to Houston which is right where some of the refugees from N.O. are at. It's been a bad summer down here to say the least.

I left town went to South Beach. What a big freaking mess. This is the 3rd time I will be replacing our beaches this season. :( Had about 8 rooms flood with a couple inches of water, lost part of my pier again. It smells like total crap, and to have another slap in the face all the tolls were lifted going south from like Lauderdale on excpet when I get to the Keys I had to pay a ****ing dollar. How is that for irony, I got to leave on the same road for free, but had to pay to get back in and they made us leave.

Glad you are safe Slice and sorry about the damage from all these storms. I wonder if you have considered moving or investing in another area? Do you think this is going to be consistent every year and /or will you still be able to make it profitable with all the repairs and insurance prem's?

LOL I use a pipe and hey I highly dought it. It's all going into my lungs.

BTW wait till Monday when gas is between 4 and 5 bucks a gallon.
