The AMD one seems fake. I don't think that it would blow a perfect hole underneath a table where one could put a mild explosive to create that effect...

That's what I thought too. If CPUs exploded with that much force there would be a lot of dead and maimed PC builders, lol. I've never heard of that happening, and even if it could happen you'd think there would be red warning labels all over the CPU box. Cool movies though. :thumbs:

I agree though - I can believe what happened to the chip, as well as shredding the mobo - the table is a stretch though.

The only thing that makes me think there could be a shread of truth is that it was a Duron that they did this to...a duron that was overclocked to 4 ghz (the fastest duron is like what? a 1.7 or so!)

That kind of overclocking has to have some kind of crazy energy boiling around in it.

I don't think it would realy matter. The fact that they have an unburned and clean cut hole means it is fake. An explosion would mean a tore up table as well as on the computer itself....
