My crosshairs a.... block?

what happened? i cant use my favorite cross hair because its a giant block!
I was playing, then i had 2 cook, my computer went to screen saver, i came back and it was this:


btw, it turns red and green for low and high health when i aim at people

also, theres no weapon cuzz i play with none selected :)

i had to re installed the textures for the crosshairs, i replaced 1 trying to make my own, lol.

i took everything out of those two big gro files and there all in seperate folders now

Your block/cross hair color thingy is right on........ its supposed to do that :thumbs:

Ok SD or anyone else explain how could X-Fire cause that? :confused:

X-fire is a server browser and all it does is run the SeriousSam.exe file when you launch the game from inside X-fire, this is the same thing as if you double clicked on your desktop icon so i'm at a loss as how this could be causing graphical errors.

I highly suspect since you have unpacked and have edited those .gro files for whatever reason that the problem lies there.

All the bugs would have already been (and pretty much have been) found since the game is so old. This looks like you have a vid card program or have been messing around with texture files. I would do a fresh reinstall of ssam in a difft directory and see if the problem persists. If so update ur drivers (if you haven't already)

it only happens when i have xfire on, also all the words in the menu disapeer into a white block sometimes

I just cranked up a game with X-Fire on and get nothing like you described. Changed characters and still nothing.

Since you don't use the System Specs option in your profile here I have no idea what hardware you are using. I'm using the v81.98 nVidia drivers and I would update your drivers and/or do what Exe suggested.

Xfire does not modify anything in the game, it executes slightly differently but that is not the cause of your problem. Re-install ssam and see what happens.
