This was linked on the page you listed. The authenticity of the article text itself is unconfirmed, but the image of the text coming from a magazine is definitely a fake. If you look to the right of the image in the magazine pic, it actually credits "adversting archive".

Still, things have definitely changed. There are some of those that I would certainly still prescribe to, but a number that I would not, as well. I think it's important to be greeted w/ a smile and to know there's an appreciation there, but I feel that will come naturally through a good relationship anyways.
