I'm flipping channels tonight to check in on a few of the shows on my Monday night lineup and get to American Hot Rod and they are all talking about Roy in the past tense and i'm like wth is up so I find this ...

As you can see that post was dated in Oct of lastyear, I had no idea he had passed. That old man gave them hell, but was funny in his own way. R.I.P. Roy. :(

ya, i just saw that episode to, i had no idea that he died. he seemed like a really good guy. :(

I saw the episode too. I knew that Roy had been ill for some time, but I was completely shocked to hear Boyd say that he passed away. The first thing I thought was how sad Lee would be when hearing the news, because they were great partners. But Lee took it well, and was back to smiles the day of the unveiling.

This is probably why there have been no new American Hotrod episodes for some time. It's too bad, Roy was great at his work, and he will be truely missed among all of us American Hotrod fans, to be sure. God bless you Roy Schmidt.

That sucks. Even though I know the sob is where he wants to be now, he will be missed on the show.

ROY kicked a$$....he made the show funny and more intertaining....he will diffently be missed....GOD BLESS YAH ROY.........





Greatest recall of ROY to me:

The time he joined up with old friends to get drunk and moon a train....That had me laughing for weeks.....

Lighting off gas bombs in the shop, very similar to what Paulie at OCC did once.:D
