Yep, it's time. I've made list and now you shall see Sirc at his worst! Muahahaha! Prepare for teh flames!
Aw hell, nevermind. There's no one on my list. Everyone here is good people. That sucks. Damn you all! I got nothin. Sorry.

You have to admit things here have been pretty calm. I disgust myself when I think of all the stupid fights I got in over stupid things. Nothing was like checking every other minute to see what the other person said:D .
You also have to admit that not too many people post that much any more. Seems odd that such a large community does not have as many posts as it once use to get.

A community united around 1 game will lose some of that unity when the game's sequel recieves a lackluster welcome and fails to attract anyone to the deathmatch that made it's predecessor so popular...
Personally, I'm glad I missed the worst of the fighting/evil spamming. There were a couple times a particular thread/post would turn me completely off to GM @ the beginning, and from what I hear, they were but a shadow of what you guys used to do :P

Yeah, but we packed them in though didn't we BIGG? They loved the drama whether they were willing to admit it or not. Some people may have actually hated it, but it was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Horrible, but you just had to watch. Me, BIGG, and a few others (who are no longer around) caused the GM online count to hit 30+ at 1am. We rocked. :P
That was before GM had like 130 guests on a regular basis. I dunno what's up with that. Who the heck are these guests? Bots?

Ah.....the old drama days of GM. We all publicy decried those flaming posts, but secretly, anonymously would read them when we thought no one was looking. Even a topic on religion fails to rile up the masses. Have we become a sterile, scared to be censured mass of forumites (I made that word up)? Has the media, government (whatever) made us so careful to be politically correct that we are afraid to speak our minds?

It's definitely gotten alot quieter around here. :o Lot of us Sam'ers split off to different games and only a handfull share a common 'game' interest. That means less raging, competitive testosterone clashing on message boards!! :D

Hell, I sometimes...ok scratch that; MOST of the time created various schemes and plots in order to create some drama around here, in which the outcome usually was alot of name calling and bans all over the place. 'Twas fun while it lasted, even with the unfortunate side effects of some of the incidents
I hope people do understand that it was all done for show and drama and not the reactions of some psychotic nutjob that escaped from the zoo.
SIRC, you should make a reminiscence thread about dramatic, controversial and downright funny moments in GM history. I promise I'll contribute :)

I am sure sirc agrees with me that these things may have been entertaining for some but there were times where feelings got hurt and things got too personal. I know or learned in time to keep my opinion to myself with an occasional slip here or there. Being very outspoken at times usually gets me introuble or makes people think of you the wrong way. I think I am happy the way things are without the fighting. It does no good for the community in the long run. fights should remain as competition in a game but for good fun.:thumbs:

In truth, though, you honestly ticked me the heck off when I first started coming here, not b/c of your views (which are usually fairly closely aligned w/ my own) but b/c of your methods. Now, I consider you one of my best friends on the forum and one of the reasons I've stayed on during a couple of the lulls here (no offense to anyone else - You're all kewl to the mAx!)

Personally, I don't like drama on this forum because I feel like we're all one giant clan(at least kind of). I've played and known almost everyone here for such a long time that it gets too personal for me when people start seriously trashing each other.. I think the main problem was the game because I took it so seriously.. :( I think it would have been healthier for us to unite and just troll other forums and groups... That way, we have more fun and don't go too far with flames. Wow, I sound like a complete nerd.. Oh well.. :)

The only real drama around this place are the ads that random morons post to promote their stupidity. Other than that there isn't much of anything else. Perhaps introducing more contests like the GM Graphics Contest only something that's more related to gaming.

If you had been around when the really serious flame threads were going, you wouldn't be saying that. Alas, all of the good ones were deleted or moved into the private council section. There are still a few pretty good ones around I think, but I'm way too lazy to search for them. It's probably best to just let them fester and die in the dark corners of GM history though. ;)

Sirc is one of few people I would like to meet. My uncle and brother love listening to him on team speak and so do I. He is much funnier in team speak and with a wonderful sense of humor. The other three guys I would love to see hang out together would be Pathos, Goober, HIGH PING CAMPER and having Sirc as a mascot. LOL
