Video Game Cover Poll

The rules this week stipulated that the entry had to be built from a blank image and it had to be a new game that the person made up themselves. The question for the poll is "Which cover looks like it could be a real game cover?" so please keep that in mind when voting.

Please feel free to leave comments if you like, they are appreciated and a big help.

Both are fantastically well done in my mind, however my vote goes to #2 for being something I can imagine actually seeing on the shelf.

In other words, both look very much like well done video game covers...the second just seems more likely to actually *be* one.

first one....(while appealing :D)...would probably never be put on most store shelves as I think it would violate a few codes. Very goodf artwork all the same though ;)

Just to be fair to both .... The question was not if the cover were legal or not. The keywords in the poll question is "Looks like" so judge them by their looks.

Next time you are in a video store (other than Blockbuster, etc ...) look around for something that looks like a doorway with a curtain hanging down (they all seem to use that :P ) and sneak in there when no one is looking. If you get caught, use the "Oh i'm so sorry, I was looking for the restroom" excuse. :D

considering your note it will be like a real cover, my vote was for number 2, but if you would make some changes in first picture, it would rocks :D
first picture doesnt looks so "complex" like second one. dunno how to say it. maybe if you would change background(choose plainer one) and make headline more glaring and more different from background. maybe a little more text and informations would do.

To tell the truth they were both mine, no one besides me turned in an entry and so I ran both of mine. :rolleyes: If someone had turned in one for me to go against, I would have only used one of mine and I'm 100% sure I would have gone with Picture #1 ... the one that lost so someone probably missed out on a easy win. :P

Ha ha, no kidding! GG on both of them, then! I knew 1 was yours and I was havin' a heck of a time figurin' out which, as I thought both were something I could see you doing (I was thinkin' #2 was you, and I was right! :P). Well, in the next few weeks I'd like to start competing - school ends, I'll be all alone in a new house, etc. I'll get ideas, resources, take them home, work on them @ night...

I started the ASSassin one just as a joke and ended up finishing it, I had 4 version of it ... some joke. The Jack Hammer one didn't even have the ESRB ratings logo until the very last minute and I made up the !nsight logo with about 20 minutes before the deadline, I was cutting it close.
