Zaccarais Moussaoui is known as the 20th 9/11 hijacker, pled guilty to conspiracy in connection with the attacks. Well today jurors reached a verdict in the sentencing phase of the trial. They previously ruled that Moussaoui was eligible for the possibility of the death penalty for his role. Today they've sentenced Moussaoui to life in prison with no parole.

Here's what I think, life in prison is more preferable. Think about it. These radical Muslim extremists see capital punishment as a reward for their actions. How many times have convicted terrorists stood up in court and shouted "Allahu Akbar!" when they heard they were sentenced to die? Why would Moussaoui testify for the prosecution if not to get execution? He also said that he did not want to die in prison, indicating that he does not want a sentence to life behind bars. So maybe life in prison is just what he deserves, to spend the rest of his life locked away, to die in his cell. And on top of all that, al-Qaida, as well as other extremists, make martyrs out of those who are killed in battle or who are executed for their actions. They believe he will rise to 7th Heaven because he killed so many "Zionists." With all that in mind, I firmly believe life in prison is more fitting for him. But even if he was sentenced to die, I would not have missed him. And I won't when he goes. He still conspired to kill 3,000+ innocent people.

I was just listening to CNN, and they had a reporter in the courtroom when the verdict was read. And apparently, Moussaoui did have some words for us when it was all over. As he left the courtroom, he said "America, you lost." Turned to the prosecutor and said "You lost, I won."

I don't get it. He said throughout the trial that he wanted to die, he wanted the death sentence, it would serve his jihad. Why all the contradictions?

"Whether I win or lose, I win." That piece of **** on a stick should just go to his cell now and be forgotten.

America has more prisoners in jail more then any other country in the world. This continues to grow with over crowded jails.

This country would rather spend 100,000.00 a year to keep him alive for his crimes.

How stupid!!! I can see $100,000.00 being spent of tax payers money much better on education or some poor people in America.

No wonder America is the laughing stock around the world.:down:

Well said! I don't want to see any books or movies or in two years 60 min doing a interview with him, let him rot.

Life imprisonment = BIG $$$ to American taxpayers. :down:
Rope = $20.00
Bullet = $1.00
1 minute in electric Chair = $0 (I'll gladly pay it.)

Save the taxpayers some money and let the SOB go get his virgins.

Actually with appeals I think it costs over a million dollars to execute someone.

Hopefully instead of him reaping twelve virgins as a martyr he will become Bubba's bitch in prison.

thats 72....not 12 :)

The dark-eyed damsels are available for all Muslims, not just martyrs. It is in the Islamic Traditions that we find the 72 virgins in heaven specified: in a Hadith (Islamic Tradition) collected by Al-Tirmidhi (died 892 CE [common era*]) in the Book of Sunan (volume IV, chapters on The Features of Paradise as described by the Messenger of Allah [Prophet Muhammad], chapter 21, About the Smallest Reward for the People of Paradise, (Hadith 2687). The same hadith is also quoted by Ibn Kathir (died 1373 CE ) in his Koranic commentary (Tafsir) of Surah Al-Rahman (55), verse 72: "The Prophet Muhammad was heard saying: 'The smallest reward for the people of paradise is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine, and ruby, as wide as the distance from Al-Jabiyyah [a Damascus suburb] to Sana'a [Yemen]'."

It's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. It's amazing what some religions teach.

Anyway, here is quote which I have to agree with.

"Moussaoui, as he was led from the courtroom after the 15-minute hearing, said: "America, you lost. ... I won." He clapped his hands as he was escorted away."

A little snip down there with some shears and he won't have any need for virgins. He may want them, but .... ;)
